Our homeward bound journey was pleasantly interrupted by a short cruise down the Rhine from St. Gour to Boppard. The Rhine is famously overlooked by many castles. These were built to control traffic along the river and the occupants demanded tolls from shipping passing through the stretches under their control. There are a couple of these castles in this little collection.
