The cloudless blue skies dominate the scene here where typical white buildings stand around the square with its traditional tessellated pavement. This Spanish town is just over the western border with Portugal.
The white stones are laid in contrasting patterns with black stones. Here the lines are straight but more often they are laid in waves, like the sea which is so important to the economy of the area.
